About this Position:

Our client, a global transportation logistics provider is currently seeking to hire an Air Exports Supervisor for their growing team. For over 14 years, our client has developed turn-key solutions, bringing innovation and the latest technology in their industry by hiring skilled individuals in driving their success.

Job functions:

Supervise a team of three and handle day to day operations of the air export department
Supervise and delegate tasks from the team email inbox
Manage and mitigate all shipment exceptions that arise on shipments
Train new team members when required on airline booking procedures , TSA rules, Airway bill production, aircraft sizes, technical aspects of an air export
Ensure all TSA rules are followed by all team members and vendors
Negotiate contracts with airlines
Work with and develop new foreign agents relationships by establishing dap pricing and SOPs that they will follow when handling our freight. Replace non performing agents by finding new agents who are willing and able to handle our dap cargo
Be on call and able to work weekends or later in evenings in order to ensure that all shipments are moved as planned.
The candidate must have experience and be able to Quote large oversized shipments and Charter inquiries

Requirements:

Knowledge of TSA rules and requirements
Strong Excel, Outlook skills; technologically adept
Working knowledge with Webcargo, Cargo.one and Cargo.ai
Experience with airline routing and flight schedules to adequately suggest alternative routings in cases where our computer routing is insufficient
Having contacts at airlines that were developed over the last few years preferred.
Knowledge of domestic U.S. trucking networks and capabilities of each carrier as well as standard truck sizes and capabilities

Salary 80k per year plus quarterly bonus
